Urban Design
When we design cities, we are designing for thousands of people, and that calls for a broader perspective. A dense, urban city allows us to build attractive and sustainable environments for today’s residents and for future communities. Innovations such as micro mobility are changing the urban landscape. A connected city where people can travel easily and interact with each other creates the basis for an inclusive and democratic society. Designing beautiful well-connected neighbourhoods helps to counteract segregation and minimise barriers between different communities and amenities.
A well-designed living city creates the conditions for a good life, which is one of the keys to living in an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable way.
