Folkparken
Residential buildings in Halmstad
Skanska has commissioned Kanozi Arkitekter to design two point buildings, as well as two welcoming slatted buildings at the entrance of the popular Folkparken in Halmstad. The houses rise above the treetops overlooking the park and have a very attractive and natural location along Nissan and Laxön.

The point houses have a rather distinctive, upright form with large balconies at the corners of the houses to emphasize a slender building silhouette and create a long vertical line in the design.
The further into the park you go, the higher the building structure rises in height according to the detailed plan. The tallest ten-storey point buildings, designed by Kanozi Architects, act as the closest termination to the forest edge.
It's a very beautiful and historic place. We feel proud that Skanska trusts our ability to take the site into account and build houses among the large, leafy park trees. We want to take advantage of the qualities that Folkparken has historically provided and still provides today.

For Halmstad Municipality, Skanska and Kanozi Arkitekter, it is important that Folkparken continues to be an open meeting place for more than just the residents. It will be a residential area with continued large green areas and given meeting places, rooms for activities such as a boules court and playgrounds.
